Insulation Catches Fire At Ohio Plant

Firefighters are investigating a fire at the Owens Corning plant in Newark Saturday night.

Crews were called to Building 73 at the Owens Corning plant at 400 Case Avenue in Newark on a report of a fire shortly before 7:30 p.m. Saturday.

According to firefighters, insulation caught fire along the building’s finishing line.

Large rolls of insulation could be seen stacked outside the building.

No injuries were reported.

Firefighters were trying to flush smoke out of the building in order to identify the cause of the fire.

Fire crews from several surrounding communities responded to help fight the fire.
