Authorities say a fire at an industrial facility in Michigan has caused an estimated $2.5 million in damage.
Radio station WLEW reports about 50 firefighters from a dozen departments responded to the blaze early Saturday morning at Bluebird Enterprises Inc. of Imlay City.
Brown City Fire Capt. Keith Redlin says crews found smoke and flames going through the roof of the 25,000 square-foot facility when they arrived. Firefighters were on the scene for about six hours.
Firefighters say they kept the fire out of the company’s main warehouse but it still suffered smoke and water damage.
The cause of the fire isn’t known.
Bluebird Enterprises’ website says it provides parts and services for numerous industries, including automotive, military, marine and aerospace.
Imlay City is about 45 miles north of Detroit.
