Fire crews respond to Oregon industrial fire

The Albany Fire Department went to the scene of an industrial fire at Panolam Industries at 3030 SW Calapooia just before 5 p.m. Monday.

When crews arrived, they saw black smoke coming from the building. The building manager attempted to use several fire extinguishers while other employees called 911.

Engines and ambulances from all four Albany stations were called to the fire.

No fighters or employees suffered injuries.

The press used to make laminate in the building was damaged. The estimated value of damages is $25,000.
